I’m glad I got to appreciate my novel of choice, Wool, this week. My favorite creation this week was making a theme song for the book, which you can see below! Fan fiction is interesting – I didn’t choose any writing activities because I felt this is the stereotypical route of creating fan fiction.
Video is definitely the area where I have least experience. Even producing the video essay was somewhat of a cumbersome a process. Video means images and audio… there’s so much to keep track of! I feel like I can imagine great scenes, but pulling them off would require so many details – time to get my hands dirty.
Everybody created their own plots for the radio project – it was awesome to hear what some came up with! Besides that, plenty happened this week…
I loved working with audio this week – I picked up some skills with crossfading clips, looping, and adding reverb in audacity. I’ll never forget you radio-project-week, you will be missed:
Lets quickly address that, apparently, designer jeans don’t help you design. The name of designer jeans are misleading, just like the title of my post because I barely mention Squidward at all. Moving on:
Week 6 is over, and it was all about design. Overall, a pretty cool week that definitely challenged me to learn and master new tools. I’m a lot more familiar with Canva now, some random generators, and Hero Machine 3. Not only that, we got a group together for our character stories (group name TBD). After all this reflection and work on designs this week, I learned that if it looks right, it probably is, and you’ve made a not-so-horrible design.
There’s still much to learn though. Maybe one day I’ll reach design enlightenment like Squidward…
I love audio, but don’t worry, I wasn’t foolish enough to stay in my comfort zone…
This week was the beginning of our visual unit – good news for you, there’s not a lot of reading ahead.
Well, it’s week 3 – more like weak 3, am I right?
Yeeeah, I got in some of my assignments late, but at least I got all of them in. Some are pretty sexy despite my energy levels…
So, what did my blood, my sweat, and the tears of others accomplish this week?
Well, week two of ds106 is coming to a close, and it’s been an emotional week – not for me, but for those who read my content. First, I did a flash fiction post and started strong with this ‘lil gem:
Mom, I hope you find this. I don’t have much time – I was bitten. It’s spreading. The girls are safe, I made them leave me. We couldn’t get the medicine for dad… I love you, and I’m sorry.@ds106dc #tdc2206
